The best quotes from the New Kids on the Block tour announcement

The New Kids on the Block, or NKOTB — not to be confused with NKOTBSB, how the New Kids/Backstreet Boys supergroup of 2011 must surely forever be known — will perform at Verizon Center on June 14.
Perhaps looking to tack a few more alphanumerics onto another tour-defining acronym, they’ll be joined by Boyz II Men and 98 Degrees on “The Package” tour. Shall we refer to the collective as NKOTB2M98° then? We’ll wait for a formal ruling. Until then, enjoy a few canned quotes from the official tour announcement:
“Ladies, we’re coming for you,” said Det. Danny Reagan, from the CBS police drama “Blue Bloods.” (Are gentlemen eligible to accept said package as well, or just the ladies? This should be cleared up before tickets go on sale Feb. 2.) ”We can’t wait to give fans ‘The Package!’” he added.
“‘The Package’ is on its way, and we’re going to deliver,” said Wanya Morris, 39, of Boyz II Men, most definitely one of the men on the Boyz-Men continuum at this point. “We plan on bringing it,” concurred fellow Man Nate Morris, 41, about the package. “Mark your calendars.”
Amid the de rigeur brio, chest thumping and promises of “it” being brought, there’s one ominous note in the release that threatens to undermine the whole nostalgic enterprise, and it comes from Nick Lachey. “Looking forward to playing our hits and trying out some of our new tracks too,” he said. Nick: No new stuff. Stick to the hits, (**Googles ‘Wiki 98 Degrees’**) the ”Thank God I Found You”s and the “Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche)”s. Let your fans relive those halcyon, “Total Request Live” summers without having to confront the passage of time and the visible burdens of celebrity and new material.
That’s what Carson Daly is for.
Yes, you read that right. Not one, not two, but three classic ’90s boy bands are hitting the road this summer to bring us “The Package” tour.
New Kids On The Block, 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men announced their joint effort today. Technically speaking, New Kids will be the headliner while 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men are their opening acts.
“Ladies, we’re coming for you! This is going to be the craziest year yet — the single, the album, the tour with 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men … We can’t wait to give fans ‘The Package!’” said New Kids’ Donnie Wahlberg.
In addition, NKOTB will release a new album this April entitled 10. A single is due out later this month.
This will be 98 Degrees’ first tour in 12 years, and all three acts will launch their “The Package” tour this May in Connecticut. Tickets go on sale February 2.
“We are really excited to get back on the road together and tour with our friends in NKOTB and Boyz II Men. Looking forward to playing our hits and trying out some of our new tracks too,” said 98 Degrees’ Nick Lachey in a press release.
“We couldn’t be more excited to join New Kids on the Block and 98 Degrees on ‘The Package Tour.’ This summer is going to be fun and fans will not want to miss it,” said Shawn Stockman. Wanya Morris agreed saying, “This has been in the works for a while… ‘The Package’ is on its way, and we’re going to deliver.”
A complete list of dates can be seen here.
Now all we have left to hope and pray for is an N’SYNC reunion. NKOTB and the Backstreet Boys went on a world tour together in 2011-2012.
New Kids on the Block coming to Scotiabank
t’s a boy-band-a-palooza at Scotiabank Place this June as New Kids on the Block will be performing a concert that also features the R&B trio Boyz II Men and 98 Degrees on June 4.
The Ottawa date is part of a massive tour that the New Kids (who are really aging men these days) have put together. Before the tour begins the New Kids will release, in April, a new album called 10.
In a recent interview with People Magazine, Joey McIntyre said fans will also trademark New Kids moves along with new material.
The band was last here in 2011 on stage with the Back Street Boys.

98 Degrees reunite for first tour in 12 years.
“Ladies, we’re coming for you,” said NKOTB member Donnie Wahlberg. “This is going to be the craziest year yet — the single, the album, the tour with 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men … We can’t wait to give fans ‘The Package!’”
If the tour isn’t enough, NKOTB will drop a new album “10” on April 2, and are slated to release the first single “Remix (I Like The)” on iTunes later this month.
With 28 cities already on the tour roster, the first stop is Uncasville, Conn., in May and then the show continues until July.
USA Today reported Wahlberg called into Ryan Seacrest’s radio show saying, “With all those egos in one building at the same time, you know there’s going to be a lot of crazy and fun stuff going on.”
